Sam Adams

Sam Adams has had a lifelong interest in railroads, whether it is the drama and dynamic of a passing train, or the melancholy created by a rusty, weed-grown sidetrack. An active railway heritage preservationist, self-taught as an artist, he employs a realistic style, with an emphasis on details in his primary subject, but prefers a distant, hazy quality in his backgrounds to set the mood and stimulate the imagination. Professional railroaders, railroad enthusiasts, and people who just like his subjects or style of painting, have acquired his works.
