Chris Oldham

Chris Oldham is a lawyer turned railroad watercolorist who lives in Seattle, Washington. Chris enjoys historical research, but while he strives to make his paintings accurate, he strives to keep his work closer to “art” than “illustration.” His colorful paintings often feature railroaders and the texture and infrastructure that used to surround railroad right-of-ways. Chris particularly enjoys the challenge of capturing light and the movement of smoke and steam in his paintings.
