Jerry Glass holds degrees in art from the University of Wyoming (B.A. and M.A.) and a degree in fine art from the University of Arizona (M.F.A.). The railroad paintings are only a small fraction of what he paints. He also concentrates on depicting abandoned vehicles and scenes in and around Laramie, Wyoming. In all of his work his primary concern has been to achieve the best possible composition, emphasizing unity, harmony, and balance.
