Frank Crowe has always had an interest in railroads. He began watching trains at an early age, took up drawing and painting them in the 1970s, and as a result earned a scholarship from the University of Georgia. During college he won numerous awards at various art shows, and upon graduation went to work briefly for several railroads. Today he is a Senior Designer for a large carpet manufacturer, where he uses CAD to draw carpet patterns. His work allows Frank to travel, shoot railroad photography, and paint. He has photographed trains in the forty-eight contiguous states and in all but one Canadian province.
